As an Editor’s picks from the APL Photonics journal, the ONG has published results on the near-ultraviolet generation of light within a single waveguide.

The single waveguide had a length of 14 mm and was fabricated on lithium niobate-on-insulator. The waveguide converted near-infrared light into near-ultraviolet light with a bandwidth of 280 THz, reaching the upper frequency of 851 THz (352 nm).
