SecondWave Photonics
The next generation sensor for light analysis
Optical spectrometers are used in a wide range of applications, including bacterial identification, chemical substance detection, and food and product authentication. There is also significant interest and ongoing research into their potential for disease diagnosis, both in the laboratory and in vivo.
SecondWave Photonics is developing an innovative spectrometer that leverages complex nanostructured materials. The aim is to create the smallest spectrometer capable of analyzing light with high accuracy from the visible to the near-infrared range.
The project was awarded the Bridge Proof of Concept Grant in 2024 by the SNF, won the Startup Campus Award 2024, and was also supported by VentureKick.
